Brenda Walker-Butts has served as the Emergency Evacuation Coordinator for over 14 years with Fulton County Government. She is responsible for coordinating emergency preparedness and response protocols for one of the largest County workforces in the State of Georgia.
In addition, Brenda is the President of B. Walker & Associates, LLC, a safety consulting agency. For over 15 years, Brenda has coached faith-based organizations and small businesses on the importance of emergency planning.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from Saint Leo University and a Master of Science Degree in Administration from Central Michigan University. She is an active duty and Army reserve veteran, having served on active duty in support of Operation Desert Storm.
Prior to joining Fulton County Government, she served in various positions with Management & Training Corporation; most notably as the Safety & Security Manager for the Atlanta Job Corps Center. She was a strong advocate for student safety and believed passionately that each individual carries the ultimate responsibility for their own personal safety. These values were carried over from her previous position as Center Standards Officer, where she also served as a student advocate with a primary focus on behavior modification.
