Jackie Thompson
Since retiring from her technology career, Ms. Thompson has been using her organizational and management skills in her positions as administrator and financial secretary for her church as well as various leadership positions in her volunteer service.
She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of Maryland (College Park) and extended graduate studies in Computer Science at California State University, Fullerton. The Institute for Defense Analyses, TRW, and Northrup Grumman provided the venues for her extraordinarily successful thirty-five-year career in computer programming, configuration management, computer hardware system configuration, and performance analysis.
In 2007, Reverend Thompson retired to begin dedicated service in the church. She answered her call to preach and was licensed in May 2009. On October 26, 2014 she was ordained a Local Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church and serves at Johnson Chapel AME Church of Santa Ana as an Associate Minister.
She currently volunteers and leads many youth programs which are focused on equipping youth with the tools, self-confidence, and interpersonal skills needed to be productive citizens with an awareness of the demands of the Generation Z-focused society.
