ScholarGifts are awarded to young women in their senior year in high school, who have lost their mother to cancer or whose mother has an end-stage cancer diagnosis, and plan to attend college in the 2023-2024 academic year.

ScholarGifts are non-competitive monetary awards given to applicants who meet all our eligibility requirements, submit all the materials required, and attend a mandatory one-day college preparatory workshop.

College Preparatory

The one-day college preparatory workshop is on Saturday, April 15, 2023. The workshop is a series of sessions that will focus on the following topics:

  • Health and Wellness

  • Financial Literacy

  • Career Building

  • Relationships

  • Academic Coaching

  • And more

Reading Aloud in Classroom

After completing the college preparatory workshop, applicants will be invited to attend our ScholarShower scheduled for Saturday, June 3, 2023. The shower is an opportunity to celebrate each applicant's educational accomplishments and support them as they transition into their next phase of life. During the shower, applicants will receive their ScholarGift and college care packages.

NOTE: Attendance at the college preparatory workshop and an acceptance letter from the college/university that the applicant plans to attend in the fall semester/quarter of 2023 are required to attend the ScholarShower.
