WHO WE ARE
Harriett’s Daughters is the soft landing for girls who have lost their mother to cancer or whose mother has an end-stage cancer diagnosis. We serve school-aged girls in grades 3–12 across the Greater Atlanta area, including the City of Atlanta, Fulton County, DeKalb County, Gwinnett County, and Cobb County.
Mentorship is the heartbeat and entry point of Harriett’s Daughters. Every girl who joins our community is paired with a caring mentor who walks beside her as she navigates grief, builds confidence, and reconnects with her sense of possibility. Through the mentoring program, families also gain access to our supporting programs:
Family Support
Services
ScholarGifts
Educational Support
Enrichment Programs and Community Experiences
Our work centers on helping girls move through their grieving and mourning process, inspiring them to pursue their ambitions, and empowering them to make choices that will propel them into a meaningful and fulfilling future.

Our Mission
To support, inspire, and empower girls who have lost their mother to cancer or whose mother has an end-stage cancer diagnosis.
Our Vision
To make a positive impact in the lives of girls at every stage of the grief process, while fostering hope for a fulfilling future.

Our Approach
Mentorship is the cornerstone of Harriett’s Daughters. Through our mentoring, ScholarGift, and Family Support programs, we walk beside girls and families as they navigate grief, education, and healing.
